On September 9, 2026, Anton Serhiiovych Komin, a PhD candidate at the Department of Information Technologies, successfully defended his dissertation titled “Models and Information Technology for Distributed Information Processing in Smart Grid Systems.”

The aim of the research was to increase the autonomy of information processing and the level of user data privacy at the edge nodes of Smart Grid systems through the development of models, methods, and information technology for distributed information processing using machine learning models on low-power edge devices.
