Research Project of IT Department Among the Winners of the Main Competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine
By Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated January 9, 2026, No. 23, the list of projects that successfully passed the competitive selection and will begin receiving funding from the State Budget of Ukraine in 2026 has been approved.
Among the winning projects is “Methods and Technologies of Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Management of Energy Systems Using Digital Twins”, led by Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technologies Yuliia PARFENENKO.
The core project team includes Anna NENIA, Head of the Department of Information Technologies; Vira SHENDRYK, Professor of the Department of Information Technologies; Serhii TYMCHUK, Professor of the Department of Information Technologies; Volodymyr NAHORNYI, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technologies; and Olha BOIKO, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Information Technologies.
The research project is carried out within the priority area of science and technology development “Information and Communication Technologies”, with the thematic focus on “Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications.”
The aim of the project is to obtain new applied knowledge and to develop practical methods and an intelligent information technology for sustainable and secure management of energy infrastructure based on microgrids with renewable energy sources, using Internet of Things technologies, artificial intelligence, digital twins, edge computing, and cloud computing.
