Graduation 2026: Successful Defense of Bachelor’s Qualification Projects at the Department of Information Technologies
This June, the Department of Information Technologies held a series of successful defenses of qualification projects by Bachelor’s degree students majoring in 122 Computer Science (Educational Program Information Technology Design). Over several days, the Examination Board, which included both department faculty members and representatives of leading IT companies (EPAM Ukraine, SMART INDUSTRY GROUP LLC, and OPTIMIZED OPERATIONS LLC), evaluated the research outcomes presented by our graduates.
This year’s projects demonstrated a high level of alignment with global IT trends. The main research and development areas included:
- Web and Mobile Development: creation of complex client-server applications for business process automation, education, donation management, volunteer activities, and other domains.
- Intelligent Systems and AI: implementation of machine learning algorithms, decision support systems, and AI-powered data processing solutions, including the use of Neural Style Transfer and Fuzzy Cognitive Maps.
- Game Development and 3D Technologies: development of game projects using the Unreal Engine, creation of interactive 3D environments, and design of pipelines for 3D animation.
- Information Systems and IoT: development of monitoring systems for critical infrastructure and solutions for industrial process automation.
It is particularly encouraging to note an important trend: a significant number of graduates not only developed software products but also published their research findings in conference proceedings and peer-reviewed articles before their project defenses. This demonstrates the strong research culture and academic maturity of our young professionals.
The Examination Board highlighted both the high quality of student preparation and the practical relevance of the projects. Following the defenses, a number of graduates were awarded honors diplomas, while the majority were recommended to continue their academic and professional development through Master’s degree studies.
We sincerely congratulate our graduates on earning the qualification of Bachelor of Computer Science! You have successfully completed an important stage of your educational journey. We wish you successful admission to Master’s programs, confidence in your abilities, and rapid professional growth in the world of modern technologies. May the knowledge and skills you have acquired become a solid foundation for the implementation of your most ambitious projects!
