Professor of the Department of Information Technologies at SumDU Vira SHENDRYK Receives International Awards from Springer Nature

Professor of the Department of Information Technologies at Sumy State University, Vira SHENDRYK, has received international professional recognition from one of the world’s leading academic publishers,  Springer Nature.

As part of the annual Editor of Distinction Awards 2026, Professor Shendryk was honored with two prestigious awards:

• Editorial Contribution Award – in recognition of her outstanding management of the editorial process, high-quality coordination of peer review, and thorough expert evaluation of scientific manuscripts. This award confirms her position among the top 20% of editors worldwide by the number of manuscripts successfully sent for peer review.
• Author Service Award – in recognition of her professional dedication to ensuring efficient, constructive, and fair communication with authors. This award places her among the top 20% of the global editorial community based on the speed of making first editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts.

Both distinctions were awarded for her significant contribution to the development of the international academic journal  Discover Artificial Intelligence, a respected platform for publishing cutting-edge research in the field of artificial intelligence.
